Whether you’re here to meet drivers, soak up the atmosphere, or watch the action under the lights, these tips will make your weekend smooth and memorable.

Meeting the drivers

If autographs or selfies with drivers are on your list, timing is everything. Arrive early–many drivers take part in practice sessions, media events, or fan experiences before the main race. The Fan Zone is one of the best places for driver appearances, autograph sessions, and sponsor meet-and-greets.

Follow the official schedule closely. NASCAR and Charlotte Motor Speedway often announce autograph signings, pit tours, and driver introductions in the days leading up to the race. Keep an eye on the track’s website and social media for last-minute updates. Some teams and sponsors also host exclusive signings, so check their booths during FanFest-style events.

When approaching drivers, bring something easy to sign–a cap, program, die-cast car, or photo works best. Be patient and respectful; drivers are busy, but many will pause for a quick signature when heading to the grid or through the Fan Zone.

Comfort & crowd tips

With tens of thousands of fans on-site, think ahead. Plan bathroom and food breaks during quieter moments, not just before restarts or during cautions, when lines are longest. Charlotte Motor Speedway is a massive venue, so expect walking. Choose your seats with care: lower rows put you close to the noise and intensity, while higher rows give you a panoramic view of the Roval layout. Limit how often you move during the race to avoid missing key moments.
