TRAVELING BY CAR

Driving is the most popular way to reach Charlotte Motor Speedway. The venue provides a mix of free and paid parking lots, plus shuttle buses from remote areas directly to the gates.

Driving directions

If you’re driving to Charlotte Motor Speedway from the south, take Exit 49 off I-85 onto Bruton Smith Boulevard. At the top of the ramp, turn right and continue for about one mile. The Speedway sits at the intersection of US 29 and Bruton Smith Boulevard.

If you are coming from the north, use the same exit. At the top of the ramp, turn left onto Bruton Smith Boulevard and drive roughly one mile until you reach the Speedway at US 29.

For those heading to zMAX Dragway or The Dirt Track, take Exit 49 off I-85 toward Bruton Smith Boulevard. After about nine-tenths of a mile, both venues will be on your left before you reach Concord Parkway South (Highway 29).

  • From Charlotte, NC (20 miles / 30 minutes): Take I-85 North to Exit 49 (Bruton Smith Blvd/Concord Mills Blvd). Follow the signs to the Speedway.
  • From Raleigh, NC (150 miles / 2.5 hours): Take I-40 West to I-85 South toward Charlotte. Exit at 49 (Bruton Smith Blvd/Concord Mills Blvd) and follow signs to the Speedway.
